Hi there - well, I'm British, but will post most stuff in Italian. I'm from London where we have cockney rhyming slang - now that really IS an interesting part of the English language. For example - "Got to comb me barnet hair". See you later geezers! icon_smile.gif

Cor blimey!! icon_eek.gif
Flippin nora! icon_mrgreen.gif

Anyway, you need to live there long to catch the meaning of the rhymes.
I prefer sticking to the "old" cockney accent, with no "t" sound at the end of the words, with the "a" sound pronounced like a "i" and the "thr" pronounced like a "fr"!
Cab drivers language! icon_biggrin.gif

Ah, forgot: always ending a phrase with "in'i?" that stands for "isn't it?" icon_mrgreen.gif

Hi all,
I'm also Italian, from Milan. I'll probably move to central London by the end of the year!
Not really enthusiastic on the biking side, I must say I'm a bit afraid of the bad weather and severe camera speed controls... 1170 mph on the highway, you guys are crasy icon_wink.gif I'm currently riding a small Aprilia RS 125, from what I could read it won't be easy to bring it to Britain and have it registered.
Better buy a used 600cc... how's the used market in the London area? Is it convenient?
and what about parking in central London? I hear you can't just leave your bike anywhere like in Milan. Any stealings? What bout the costs: MOT, tax, insurance?

Dont be afraid of making mistakes , I make many. icon_asd.gif

The weather in Holland is getting really bad so i think I will make 1 or 2 ride outs
and then make the bike ready for winter. 0510_sad.gif

Hope you guys over there are more lucky with the weather.

Well, that's not problem about mistakes, I think only mother tongue people can not do mistakes!

I think you made a mistake in writing: you wrote "1170 mph"... It's like 1883 km/h icon_xd_2.gif
Anyway I think your bike can get London without any problems, but I don't know about second hand market, price, taxes, parking and so on! icon_wink.gif

Well hello to everybody, I will be very pleased to join the group of "English speaking people". I am Italian, I live in Italy but I don't have many opportunities to speak the language that I like so much.

last post 15th of December 2012...
mmm... OK only about a month old...

yo dudes, how's it hanging? icon_wink.gif

made a HUGE mistake last summer changing my Fazer1000 for a dumb old ars Triumph custom America... thinking "i'm getting old...misses wants to be comfortable"
it was the WORST thing I have ever done all my life! icon_biggrin.gif
it was SOLD by September!
Yes I was stupid... get the context: I have an R6 ony for track days so I thought I was safe for my "Need for speed"... but it's more than that... it's a way of life... feeling the bike, countersteering, pushing with your legs... all things that do NOT exists on those bikes... they are called "iron gates" for something in Italy icon_smile.gif

ah... and let me add how my back was hurting because you have to seat in it like a fat Harley plonker (sorry to everybody who owns a Harley...) icon_wink.gif
The engine dying when idle, pegs touching the ground at every round-about...
etc etc

NOW, I'm finally FREE of the plonkers bike and am choosing a REAL 2 wheeler icon_smile.gif

--anyway:
Hope to hear from your guys...

I have half an idea to ride up to the UK and stop in Canterbury for a while this summer...
Takers?

take care
ciao 4 now

Yo dude!
I fully understand your "need for speed". I've just bought a Kawa 636 track only and I've still my Speed 0509_up.gif . Really not possible to sell it... 0509_campione.gif TRIUMPH RULES 0509_campione.gif .
Nice trip till Canterbury but no way for me to join the trip.

Let's see if others are interested to the trip...

I think everyone hates that, man! icon_lol.gif
I work in the evening, from 2 pm to 10 pm, so I could wake up more or less when I want at the morning... But I'd love to work during the morning time, so I could wake up every day early icon_confused.gif
